Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is an actress from Canada. She is most famous for her role as Kari in films such as "Apartment Hunting", "Men with Brooms" and "The Tree of Life." Born and raised in Spalding, Saskatchewan, she later relocated to Alberta, Canada, from where she attended high school. Acting was something she discovered during her teens. She attended the National Theatre School' in Montreal. Later, she went to the Moscow Theatre School. In 1996, she appeared in an supporting role in the Canadian series 'The Rez. She was a part of shows like 'Forever Knight' "Ready or Not?" and many others in the same year. In the late 1990s, she made her film debut in the form of the film "Papertrail" and then acted in films like "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." In shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery", and "Blue Murder" she also performed in supporting roles. Although she kept appearing in movies throughout the decade, her film appearances were less than the roles she played on television. In 1998, she also played the lead role as "Colleen Blessed" in the Canadian drama series titled 'Power Play.' The show ran for two seasons and 26 episodes, and was praised by critics and advertisers. She was nominated for a  Gemini Award' for her performance in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett was born to her in June of 2013. But she did not divulge the name of her son's father. Some sources claim that her ex-boyfriend is the father of her son. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke started dating her in the mid-1990s. They got married in October 1998. But the marriage ended in discord and the couple split up in 2006.
