Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian singer and actress. Her most memorable role is on American television's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She has also been an actress in films like RoboCop 3: Most Wanted as well as the independent film Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat seller and a sales/marketing executive. This position required a lot of travel and led to frequent family moves. Maxine, Maxine's mother passed away in 1982. She left her daughter in the care of Eleanor her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother as well as Jacqueline who is a twin. Jacqueline works as a journalist and host on a Canadian TV program. Hennessy has Irish and French, Swedish, Italian, and Swedish ancestry from her father, and most of her Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy and her sister made their acting debut as twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, claims she was shortlisted for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She also appeared in 1988's Dead Ringers as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 for the role of Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role was played by her for three seasons, and quit the show in 1996.
