Emily Irene VanCamp who initially wanted to become professional dancer was drawn in acting after visiting her sister Katie on the set of the film Ladies Room. The actress began taking acting classes, and also landed appearances on television shows in her homeland Canada. The TV shows she starred in include Are You afraid of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career when he was cast in the WB horror-mystery series Glory Days as Sam Dolan. The show was canceled after 9 episodes despite the positive review and ratings that were low. In fact the May 12 1986 actress from the United States had a quick time securing a new role on Everwood as a member of the main cast Amy Abbott.
